No Where but Texas

When I was much younger I can recall going to my Grandparents farm in Denton, TX and they had outhouses before they got indoor toilets. I remember having to walk outside to a two holer made out of old barn wood. Fortunately... I never had to go when it was cold, as I only visited them when school was out during the summer. I just can't imagine how our Parents and Grandparents dealt with this. We are so spoiled.

Now here is a fancy outhouse! I guess if you had one of these today and painted it like this one it wouldn't be that much of an eyesore and perhaps wouldn't be all that bad to visit????
Canton First Monday has come and gone again. While the weather was cold and wet before the weekend, we ended up with great weather for the four sale days. The crowd was good and we beat last February sales.

Our friends across from us, Don and Carla have a beautiful dog by the name of Pumpkin. She is one spoiled dog. She has very short hair and therefore very cold natured. Pumpkin has her own heating blanket and lounge chair.

Here she is in her Halloween costume and lounge chair: (Some Hot Dog...huh)

We've had some problems with the coach batteries not keeping their charge after been down for a three week period. Go to start the coach and usually will have to use the house battery boost and a battery charger to turn the engine. If the down time is less than three weeks (week to ten days) no problem. We've checked all accessories and as far as we know they are all off. The batteries are only six months old so if anyone out their has any ideas let me know.

In reading our friends blog who are in Rockport... it certainly makes us wish we were there with you. Mark your windshield screens look good. They did a good job...look good and tight.
We watched the Super Bowl Sunday nite and were a little disappointed that Arizona ended up on the short side. I thought Sandy was going through the roof when Fitzgerald ran that long touchdown to give them the lead. The Steelers are a good team and Arizona hurt themselves with all those penalties.

Sandy's Mom (Alice) celebrates her 88th birthday tomorrow Feb 03, 2009. She is a great MIL !We plan on taking her to The Butcher Shop in Longview tomorrow evening which has outstanding homemade hamburgers. Her big day will be this coming Saturday where a lot of the families will meet in Ore City at The Catfish Place. This lady loves fried catfish and can eat her weight in fried catfish. Her brother Woodrow celebrates his 94th birthday on the 7th. So, sister and brother will be honored on that day.

Happy Birthday Mom!

We had a great sunset this evening and I leave you with this. Until the next time...MtnAire Travlers
