Veterans Day

usa_flag2-anim
Every day should be Veterans Day. We need to make a point to always remember the men and women in our military. We thank them for all they do for us to protect our country. One of the reasons freedom thrives in America is because of brave men and women who endured the true pain of preserving our ideals. A retired Army buddy of mine emailed  me the following  which pretty much says it all about our military.

It is the soldier,
not the President,
who gives us democracy.

It is the soldier,
not the Congress,
who takes care of us.

It is the soldier,
not the reporter,
who has given us Freedom of Press.

It is the soldier,
not the Poet,
who has given us Freedom of Speech.

It is the soldier,
not the campus Organizer, who has given us the
Freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier,
who salutes the flag,
who serves beneath the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
that allows the protester to burn the flag.

This just about says it all for me and  may God bless all of our men and women in uniform…past, present and future. and thank you for your services to our great country.

Until next time….MtnAire Travlers.
